Our
Discussion paper
We describe the data from our annual WiE Index report covering the years 2019 to 2023. The paper finds that women economists’ representation is overall low in all sectors and there is no discernible trend over time. Although, for the academic sector, they find representation to be highest in Africa and Oceania. For the public sector, they recognise significant differences amongst geographical regions.
